The Units of Measurement for RSData material models are specified in the Units section of the Project Settings dialog.

Project Settings - Units

You may choose Metric or Imperial units, and the selection of Stress Units determines the units of length, force, stress and unit weight, for all program input and output as summarized below.

UnitsLength, Force, Stress, Unit Weight
Metric, stress as MPameters, MN, MPa, MN/m3
Metric, stress as kPameters, kN, kPa, kN/m3
Metric, stress as tonnes/m2meters, tonnes, tonnes/m2, tonnes/m3
Imperial, stress as tons/ft2feet, short tons (2000 lbs), tons/ft2, tons/ft3
Imperial, stress as ksffeet, kips, ksf, kips/ft3
Imperial, stress as psffeet, lbs, psf, lbs/ft3

The Units should always be chosen at the start of modeling, since all program input is determined by the Units setting
