Slope Overview

The slope is the principal piece of geometry in RocFall. Many of the other actions that can be performed (adding barrier, graphing, etc) require that you have a valid slope.

A RocFall slope can have any number of segments, but each segment must have a length of 0.001 length units or longer and cannot cross any of the other slope segments. In addition, the first and last vertices of the slope must not be below any slope segments (i.e., the first or last segments cannot wrap around underneath the slope to create an overhang). Overhangs are permitted elsewhere on the slope. If the slope direction is left-to-right, the first vertex must be the left-most vertex and the last vertex must be the right-most vertex; the opposite applies if the slope is oriented right-to-left.
