Starting Orientation

On a Rosette Plot, the leftmost (counter-clockwise) boundary of the first bin is, by default, at azimuth 000. This means that the bin ranges are defined at 10 degrees, 20 degrees, 30 degrees, etc (for the default bin size of 10 degrees).

In the Rosette Options dialog, the starting point can be redefined using a value of 0 to 10 degrees. The rosette bins will define intervals starting from this new value. It is advisable that data be viewed from two different starting points (e.g. 000 and 005) to filter the ranking artefacts of the radial histogram procedure.
