Input Data Overview

The Input Data Input Data icon option is the primary data input dialog in CPillar. The dialog contains four tabs which allow you to define the following model parameters:

  • Geometry
  • Lateral Stresses
  • Material Properties
  • Strength

Input Data is available on the toolbar, the Analysis menu or the right-click menu (on most views).

Geometry

The Geometry tab of the Input Data dialog allows you to enter the following input data:

  • Pillar Dimensions
  • Abutment Orientation
  • Rock Unit Weight

Stresses

The Stresses tab of the Input Data dialog allows you to enter the following input data:

  • Lateral Stress (Constant or Gravity)
  • Overburden
  • Water

Material Properties

The Material Properties tab of the Input Data dialog allows you to define abutment material shear strength properties. See the Shear Strength topic for details.

Rock Mass and Abutment Strength

The Material Properties tab of the Input Data dialog allows you to enter Rock Mass strength properties and assign Material Properties to Abutments.
