The Double Discretizations option allows the user to double the discretization density on all boundaries within a selected rectangular region. NOTE:
Before you can use Double Discretizations, the model boundaries must already be discretized.
Unlike the Custom Discretize option, the Double Discretizations option can be used either BEFORE or AFTER the finite element mesh has been generated.
To use Double Discretizations:
Select Double Discretizations from the Mesh menu.
You will be prompted to enter two points defining the opposite corners of a rectangular region. You can enter these points graphically, or with the keyboard in the prompt line.
After the second point is entered, all boundaries WITHIN the selected region, will automatically be re-discretized, so that the new discretization density is DOUBLE the original discretization density.
NOTE: if the mesh already exists when you use the Double Discretizations option, the mesh will automatically be re-generated, using the new discretization within the selected region.
