Double Discretizations
The Double Discretizations option allows the user to double the discretization density on all boundaries within a selected rectangular region.
- Before you can use Double Discretizations, the model boundaries must already be discretized.
- Unlike the Custom Discretize option, the Double Discretizations option can be used either BEFORE or AFTER the finite element mesh has been generated.
To use Double Discretizations:
- Select Double Discretizations from the Mesh menu.
- You will be prompted to enter two points defining the opposite corners of a rectangular region. You can enter these points graphically, or with the keyboard in the prompt line.
- After the second point is entered, all boundaries WITHIN the selected region, will automatically be re-discretized, so that the new discretization density is DOUBLE the original discretization density.
If the mesh already exists when you use the Double Discretizations option, the mesh will automatically be re-generated, using the new discretization within the selected region.
