Soil Profile from CPT

Note: this feature only shows layers along the soil depth with soil classification from CPT data, and the soil profile shown in this dialog is not the soil model you'll see for settlement analysis in Settle3. Previous versions had this feature enabled as 'match to global profile' but we have temporarily disabled this feature as it requires engineering judgement to estimate parameters required for settlement analysis (such as mv, Cc, Cr, etc). Please see below with this in consideration.

With the Incorporate Soil Profile option, you can view the soil column profile using the interpreted layers from the CPT data. The option can be used to visualize soil classification using CPT data.

To see this option, right click on the CPT data on plan view and select Soil Profile from CPT or Soils > CPT > Soil Profile from CPT.

For each depth, the different soil types calculated are shown, in order of percent occurrence. You can also select CPT Options to change the setting in the soil classification with different method / settings. Click Next to move on to the soil profile summary.
