Draw Axes

The Axes option allows you to add x,y,z axes with x,y,z coordinates, anywhere in the Viewport. To add Axes:

  1. Select Draw Axes from the Annotate menu.
  2. Enter the first point graphically with the mouse. , or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line.
  3. NOTE: the Snap options can be used to snap exactly to specific points or objects.

  4. As you move the mouse, scaled x, y and z axes will be drawn between the point entered in step 2, and the current cursor location.
  5. Enter the second corner graphically with the mouse, or enter x,y coordinates in the prompt line, and the Axes will be added to the view.
  6. By default, Axes will initially display Global Coordinates corresponding to the coordinates of your model. Axes can also display Local Coordinates (lower left corner = 0 , 0 ), with the Format Tool dialog.

After an Axes object has been added, it can be formatted, moved, re-sized or deleted. See the Edit Tools Overview topic for details.
