Analysis Settings
There are three Analysis Methods used in RocSlope2 that can be selected and deselected in the Analysis tab.
To access the Analysis settings:
- Select Home > Analysis > Project Settings

- The Project Settings dialog will open. Select Analysis
from the left menu to edit the settings.

Analysis Methods
RocSlope2 can perform up to 3 slope stability analyses simultaneously, which are enabled by default:
- Wedge
- Planar
- Toppling
Orientation Definition
RocSlope2 can perform 3D Planar Analysis by allowing each surface to be defined by a dip and dip direction. In the Analysis tab, the Orientation Definition can be configured to one of the following options:
- Use True Dip
- Use Apparent Dip
The Use True Dip option makes use of the dip and dip direction values to form a 3D block. The Use Apparent Dip option converts the 3D block into an equivalent 2D block by projecting each surface onto a plane which has the same dip direction as the slope surface, then extruding the block into one direction.
