We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and talented technical content writer to handle all our content-related projects.

ABOUT YOU

You’re motivated to lead: You’ll spearhead the creation of customer-facing user manuals, “Get Started” guides, customer case studies, research and marketing materials, and other instructional content that helps Rocscience users to understand, use, troubleshoot, and maintain their complex software tools.

You’re passionate about learning: You’re a quick study and you’re always curious to know more. Your commitment to growing is contagious and is evident in the work you do.

You’re a superior writer: You have a portfolio of work that shows your ability to write both technically and creatively. From software documentation to research to case studies, you know how to execute an array of projects with unique requirements and audiences.

You care about getting it right: You’ll write reliably great content, test it with users, identify opportunities for improvement, and constantly optimize your approach and content based on learnings.

You can work alone and with a team: You’re self-directed and can set your own work agenda, but you know how to collaborate with technical specialists, marketers, business managers, and more.

You’re interested in marketing: You care about crafting an exceptional customer experience and understand the role technical writing plays. You know that your work is an extension of the Rocscience brand and adhere to brand guidelines in tone and design.

You’re organized: You can manage multiples projects and deadlines simultaneously while keeping meticulous records and files of your work and previous document revisions. You’ll create a system that facilitates multiple reviews by stakeholders and will report regularly on progress and deadlines.

You love technology: You know the value of technology in customers’ professional lives, and you’re committed to making it easier for customers to get the most out of their tools.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • A postsecondary degree in engineering (civil/geotechnical) is an asset.
  • A Master’s degree in technical communication is an asset.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in writing, designing and delivering quality, consumer-facing, technical content.
  • Demonstrated superior writing skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated experience with electronic publication formats.
  • Proficiency with tools to create documentation and user-facing content (RoboHelp and Craft CMS proficiency will be considered as assets).
