RocFall Questions
1.
The program is not behaving correctly. It either doesn't start, crashes all the time, or doesn't work as defined in the manual. What's wrong?
2.
I would like to know more about the algorithms used by RocFall and the equations adopted for the rockfall calculations.
3.
I would like some more references on rockfalls, can you list a few?.
4.
Can I specify the shape of the rock which is to be thrown....(e.g. wedge shaped or spherical)?
5.
Can the software handle the case of rock-rolling behavior after a slope impact?
6.
Does the mass of the rock only affect the kinetic-energy or contribute also to the falling behavior, and if so how?
7.
How does the friction angle, entered in the material editor, affect the calculations?
8.
Can I specify the material properties of the rock which is to be thrown?
9.
Is it possible to vary randomly the angle of the slope surface (i.e. Roughness angle) to consider the unevenness of the slope?
10.
How do you determine what remedial measures should be used for a given score obtained from the Rockfall Hazard Rating System (RHRS)?
