Settle3D provides an extensive drawing and annotation toolkit which allows you to add text annotations, measure distances, angles and areas, and much more, to the Plan View. Tools include:

Drawing Tools: Dimensioning
The dimensioning tools allow you to easily measure lengths and angles in the Plan View. The dimensioning information can be customized (e.g. font, style, number of decimal places), and you can even replace or augment the dimension values with additional text.

Drawing Tools: Lines and Shapes
A variety of options are available for adding lines and geometric shapes, including Line, Arrow, Rectangle, Circle, Polyline, Polygon and Pencil options. All entities can easily be edited, re-sized, moved, duplicated etc. Line thickness, colour, fill and hatch pattern can be specified.

The Polygon option allows you to measure areas, which are displayed as a popup data tip when the mouse is hovered over a Polygon object. Similarly, the Polyline option can be used to measure the length of a polyline. Coordinate Axes can be added using either local or global coordinates.

Drawing Tools: Text Annotations
Text annotations can be added with the Text Box option. Pre-defined Auto Text can be added (e.g. project settings, soil layers), or you can type in any text. Annotations can be easily edited, customized (colour, font, size), moved, rotated etc.

Drawing Tools: Soil Properties Table
The Soil Properties Table option allows you to add a formatted table of soil properties to the Plan View. All soil types currently used in the model will be listed in the table.

Drawing Tools: Contour Labels
Contour labels can be added with the Label Contour option. Just click the mouse to add labels representing the value of the nearest contour line. Contour labels can be moved and formatted (e.g. number of decimal places, size etc).

Drawing Tools: Adding Images
Images in BMP, JPG or GIF format can be added to the Plan View with the Picture from File option. This allows you to add graphics such as company logos, for example. You can set the image transparency, display the image behind the model, scale the image size, etc.

Drawing Tools: Saving and Editing
Drawing tools are automatically saved with the Settle3D file and will automatically re-appear when you open the file. The tools can be edited using various shortcuts, for example:

Left click on a tool to re-size or move by clicking and dragging with the
mouse
Right click on a tool, the popup menu will display applicable editing options
Double click on a tool to display the Format Tool dialog
