Far Field Stresses: General

The values of field stress can be set either in terms of constant values of the principal stress components (Constant option), or in terms of the values of stress gradient components (Gravitational option). The stresses in the Constant option are defined in terms their magnitude, direction and dip (inclination from horizon). The stresses in the Gravitational option are defined in terms of their surface elevation, unit weight, direction, dip, stress ratios K1 and K2, and the locked-in far field stresses in the horizontal H1 and H2 directions.
