Output Files: Save Planes File

The Save Planes option in the File menu allows the user to save all added planes and all set windows and mean planes in the current document to a .DWP file, which stands for Dips Windows and Planes file. A .DWP file can be read back into Dips at a later time, with the Open Planes File option.

.DWP files can also be imported into Swedge and Unwedge. This allows the user to import planes from Dips for use as input data in Swedge or Unwedge.
