Dr. Simaan M. AbouRizk - 2008 ASCE Peurifoy Award Recipient

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and The Hole School of Construction Engineering at the University of Alberta is pleased to announce that Dr. Simaan M. AbouRizk is the recipient of the 2008Peurifoy Construction Research Award presented by the American Society of Civil Engineers for “his contribution in construction simulation theory and practice.”

The Peurifoy Construction Research Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of construction engineering through research and development of new technology, principles or practices.

2008 Stan Thomson Award Recipient - Dr. Dave Sego

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering would like to congratulate Dr. Dave Sego on being awarded the 2008 Stan Thomson Award. The Stan Thomson Award represents the highest recognition that the Edmonton Geotechnical Society bestows upon any of its members. It is awarded in recognition of Dr. Sego's contribution to the development and growth of the Geotechnical Society of Edmonton, as well as general geotechnical engineering practice in the Edmonton area.
