After talking with many of our Phase² users, this new version 7.0 is a real step forward for the geotechnical engineer.The Intel© solver has added speed to the calculations and the ability to export Slide data files makes this program a real winner. Phase² 7.0: Expanding the Frontiers of Geotechnical Engineering - Read how, with the input from our users, our engineer-developers created this new version which is available today. Our attempt to create a cutting-edge geotechnical engineering software tool would not have been possible without customer input. Your efforts in regularly letting us know what was required to make finite element modeling most practical to everyday engineering has paid off.

Each summer, Rocscience hires several students to work with our engineers on software development. This year we were very happy to have attracted two excellent students. Xiao Su is a second year Chemical Engineering student from the University of Waterloo. Lesley-Ann Foulds is a third year Civil Engineering student from the University of Toronto.

This month, Rocscience presents a paper and will have a booth at the GeoEdmonton 2008 Conference. As part of our India Tour, Dr. Curran will be giving a paper at the 12th IACMAG conference in Goa, India.
