Edit Coordinates
The Edit Coordinates option allows you to view or edit the coordinates of loads or excavations in a convenient mini-spreadsheet.
- Edit Coordinates is primarily for use with polygonal loads or excavations.
- The coordinates of rectangular or circular loads cannot be edited with the Edit Coordinates option, however, you can view/copy the coordinates.
- The coordinates of embankment loads cannot be viewed or edited with Edit Coordinates.
To use Edit Coordinates:
- Select Loads > Edit Coordinates
- In the Plan View, use the mouse to select the load or excavation you would like to edit. You may only select one load or excavation.
- When you have selected the load/excavation, press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection.
- You will see the Edit Coordinates dialog, which will display the x,y coordinates of the selected load/excavation in a mini-spreadsheet. In this dialog, you can enter or edit coordinates as required. See the Coordinate Table section in the Entering Coordinates topic for more details.
Right-Click Shortcut
The Edit Coordinates option is also available as a right-click shortcut. This is actually the most convenient way to use Edit Coordinates because you do not have to go through Steps 1-3 (above), you simply right-click on a load, and select Edit Coordinates from the popup menu.
The Edit Coordinates right-click shortcut is available in both the Plan View and 3D View.
