Measure

The Measure option allows you to measure the distance and angle between any two points on a view.

To use the Measure tool:

1. Select Measure from the Tools menu, or from the toolbar.
2. Enter the first point graphically with the mouse, or enter x-y coordinates in the prompt line. (Snapping may be useful here).
3. As you move the mouse, a line will connect the first point to the cursor location, and the length and angle will be displayed.
4. Enter the second point graphically with the mouse, or enter x-y coordinates in the prompt line, and the measurement will be added to the view.

To access dimensioning tools, click on the drop-down arrow of the Measure icon. See the Dimension Tools topic for more information.

Notes:

• A horizontal line has an angle of 0 degrees.
• The line angle is measured counterclockwise from horizontal.

Tips:

• Double-click on the line to bring up the Format Tool dialog. In this dialog you can edit the line appearance, and edit the coordinates of the two ends.
