Overview of Barriers

A Barrier in RocFall is a line segment (with one end on the slope surface) that can be placed anywhere along the surface of the slope in order to stop falling rocks or absorb some of their energy as they travel down the slope.

When adding barriers, you can enter custom barrier properties of choice from a pre-defined list in the Barrier Properties Library. There is no limit to the number of barriers that can be placed on a slope. However, barriers cannot cross other barriers and cannot cross slope segments.
