Show Failed Pillars

The Show Failed Pillars option is applicable for Histogram and Scatter plots, and highlights the distribution of failed pillars (i.e., pillars with a Factor of Safety less than the Design Factor of Safety, or Buckling Parameter greater than the Design Buckling Parameter) on Histogram or Scatter plots.

When Show Failed Pillars is toggled on:

  • On a Histogram plot, the distribution of failed pillars will be superimposed over the total distribution, and coloured red.
  • On a Scatter plot, each data point representing a failed pillar will be coloured red.

The Show Failed Pillars option is very useful because it allows you to see the relationship between pillar failure, and any given input variable (e.g., Pillar Height) or output variable.

NOTE: On a Factor of Safety Histogram, the failed pillars (Factor of Safety less than Design Factor of Safety) are ALWAYS highlighted in red.

Show Failed Pillars is available in the right-click menu, and the Chart menu.
