Our goal is to make Rocscience software as accessible as possible, in order to foster greater understanding in students of how well crafted software can be a useful tool for solving soil and rock engineering problems. |
Rocscience is dedicated to providing our software for educational purposes in a variety of different ways.
If you are an instructor teaching geotechnical engineering courses in an academic institution, you may be interested in our Rocscience Education Program. We provide full versions of our programs for use in the classroom, for a nominal fee. Please see our Education Program page for detailed information.
We also provide our software to instructors who wish to use Rocscience programs in short courses, such as professional development courses. Please see our Short Courses page for more information, and to see if your course is eligible.
Rocscience also has many resources available to both instructors and students who are using our software. On our Resources for Instructors page, you will find a number of resources that can be utilized in planning lessons and projects. Examples of projects and problem sets that other instructors have created for using Rocscience software in their curriculum, along with verification manuals and on-line tutorials, can be found here.
For students, we also have many resources available. See our Resources for Students page for links to research papers, a variety of texts by Dr. Evert Hoek, free downloads, and other useful tools.
