Slide Interpret > Groundwater Results
The Convergence Plot option in the Groundwater menu, allows you to view the convergence history of the finite element groundwater analysis.
The solution is considered to have converged, when the difference in hydraulic head between iterations, at all nodes of the mesh, is less than a user-specified Tolerance. The Tolerance is specified by the user in the Project Settings dialog in the Slide Model program.
If your groundwater analysis is not converging, or is giving unexpected results, then you should view the Convergence Plot to determine if the analysis is converging smoothly. If it is not, then you should check your model (boundary conditions, hydraulic properties), and make sure that there are no errors in your model.
NOTE: the Convergence Plot option will only be enabled, if the Convergence History checkbox is selected in Project Settings > Groundwater in the Slide Model program. If the Convergence Plot option is disabled, then you must select this checkbox in Slide Model, and re-compute the groundwater analysis, if you wish to view the Convergence Plot.
