Slide is a 2D limit equilibrium slope stability program for evaluating the safety factor or probability of failure, of circular or non-circular failure surfaces in soil or rock slopes. Slide analyzes the stability of slip surfaces using vertical slice limit equilibrium methods. Slide also includes finite element groundwater seepage analysis built right into the program.

New Users
If you are a new user of Slide, the first thing you should do is complete the Quick Start Tutorial, which you will find on the Slide Tutorials page.
It is highly recommended that you also go through tutorials 2 to 6 for an introduction to many of the basic modeling and data interpretation concepts in Slide.
Other tutorials provide guidance for more specific analysis features of Slide (e.g. probabilistic analysis). It is recommended that you go through as many of the tutorials as possible. This is the best way to get acquainted with the many different capabilities of Slide.
