Settle3D > Viewing and Display Options
The Animate option allows you to animate the rotation of the model in the 3D View, and the contour plane depth. To use animate:
Select Animate from the 3D sub-menu of the View menu, or the default right-click menu in the 3D View.
In the Animation dialog, use the buttons to start or stop the rotation of the model, or the contour plane depth movement (see below for more information). You can use the Speed controls to increase or decrease the speed of the movement.
To exit the Animation mode, select the Done button or press Escape.
Rotation
The animated rotation of the model is always about the true vertical axis of the model, regardless of the apparent orientation of the model in the 3D View.
Contour Plane Depth
The contour plane depth refers to the horizontal contour results generated by the field point grid. If the field point grid has not been defined, then this option will be disabled. NOTE:
When the contour plane depth is animated, the results are updated in both the 3D View and the Plan View.
If queries have been defined, then query results in the Plan View and Chart Views (if applicable) are also updated during the animation.
If the Lock to Field Point Grid option is enabled, then the position of the contour plane in the 3D View will remain fixed, while the model moves with respect to the contour plane.
If the Deformed Contours option is enabled, then the animation will be applied to the deformed contour plane in the 3D View.
