Display of Test Data

To show or hide the display of test data on the main RocData view, select Plot Test Data from the toolbar or the Analysis menu.

Triaxial Test Data

For triaxial test data, the lab or field data is plotted as points in principal stress space (sigma1 versus sigma3), and as Mohr circles in direct shear space (normal versus shear stress), as shown in the following figure.

Direct Shear Test Data

For direct shear data, the data is plotted as points in direct shear space, as shown in the following figure. Direct shear data does not appear on the principal stress plot.
