Tutorial 16 - Retaining Wall

In this tutorial, Phase2 is used to simulate the construction of an earth retaining wall. The wall is subjected to forces from backfill and from ponded water. Joint elements are included between the wall and the soil so the wall may slip relative to the soil. The model is built in four stages:

1. Bring the foundation soil to equilibrium

2. Add a concrete retaining wall and a layer of fill

3. Add water

4. Add another layer of fill on top of the first
