In a Shear Strength Reduction (SSR) analysis, it is sometimes necessary to restrict the stability analysis to a particular area of the model. This can be done with the SSR Search Area option.
In this tutorial, Phase2 is used to determine the factor of safety of an embankment using the shear strength reduction (SSR) method. The slope stability analysis is restricted to one side of the embankment by defining an SSR search area.
