This tutorial illustrates how to model a simple surface excavation, consisting of a trench located near a circular tunnel, and a distributed load directly above the tunnel.
The analysis will be staged, by excavating the tunnel in the first stage, the trench in the second, and adding the load in the third stage. The gravity field stress option is used.
