Phase2 Model > Mesh > Discretization
The Increase Discretization Density option is another method of customizing the boundary discretization. It allows the user to double the existing discretization density on all boundaries within a selected rectangular region.
To use this option:
Select Increase Discretization Density from the Mesh menu.
Click and drag a selection window around the desired boundaries.
When you release the mouse button, all boundaries (or portions of boundaries) WITHIN the selected region, will automatically be re-discretized, so that the new discretization density is DOUBLE the original discretization density.
If the mesh exists when you use the Increase Discretization Density option, the mesh will automatically be re-generated using the new (doubled) discretization on boundaries within the selected region.
NOTE: unlike the Custom Discretize option, the Increase Discretization Density option can be used either BEFORE or AFTER the finite element mesh has been generated. However, the boundaries must be discretized before the Increase Discretization Density option is enabled.
