Convert Tool to Boundary

The Convert Tool to Boundary option can be used to convert polyline, polygon or pencil drawing tools, into Phase2 model boundaries (e.g. material boundary, stage boundary, piezo line, etc).

The Convert Tool to Boundary option is only available in the Phase2 Model program; it is not available in Phase2 Interpret.

To use Convert Tool to Boundary:

1. Select Convert Tool to Boundary from the Tools menu.

2. Use the mouse to select the drawing tools you would like to convert. NOTE:

• you can only select polyline, polygon or pencil drawing tools

• you can select multiple tools at the same time

3. When you are finished selecting, press Enter or right-click and select Done Selection.

4. You will see a dialog which allows you to select the type of boundary that you would like to convert the selected tools into. NOTE:

• you may choose from Material, Stage, Joint, Structural Interface or Piezometric Line boundaries

• if a drawing tool forms a closed polygon, then you will have the additional choice of converting the tool into an Excavation boundary (since excavation boundaries must always be a closed polygon)

5. Select a boundary type in the dialog, select OK, and all selected drawing tools will be converted into the selected boundary type.
