Query Overview

The Query capability of Examine2D allows you to obtain analysis results along any user-defined line or polyline (e.g. plot the stress along excavation boundaries).

A Query can be created in two ways:

• With the Add Material Query option, you can enter a point, line or polyline, to obtain data anywhere within the rock mass.

• The Query Boundary option allows you to select a boundary, and automatically create a query exactly on the boundary.

After a Query is created, the data can be:

• graphed

• displayed directly on the model

• copied to the clipboard

• exported to Excel

Saving Queries

Queries are automatically saved with the Examine2D file (i.e. when you select the Save or Save As options in the File menu), and will automatically re-appear when you open the file.

Undo / Redo

The Undo / Redo options apply to Queries as well as modeling changes. Therefore you can easily undo / redo changes to Queries, without having to use the edit options.
